Why we do this

One of our competitive junior cyclists, Austin Dixon, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) a little over 6 years ago.  Since the date of that diagnosis, he has battled this disease while on the bike, but it has never let it stop him from reaching his goals. Has made it his mission to bring awareness to this disease and change the face of the type 1 diabetes. There might be days he “suffers” on the bike, yet he pushes through it and never lets T1D stop him from doing anything. He wants to inspire others around him, while showing other type 1 diabetics anything is possible.

In honor and support of him and his mission, we have created Banded Suffering to help change the face of T1D.

ALL proceeds from Banded Suffering will go directly to JDRF!

Life with T1D is complicated and very hard.  The disease has to be monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.  There is never a day off.  JDRF is the only hope for a life without type 1 diabetes. This is why we support this organization and their effort in their search for a cure.

So, get on your bike and let us band together to join the fight against type 1 diabetes!
